Seeking what…

For a little over a year I have been rethinking many things, particularly the things that are very personal to most people – faith and religion. This blog has been created to allow me to put some of my thoughts down in words. It is and will continue to be a most certain work-in-progress. I don’t think I have the answers, nor do I think I am close to the answers, but one day (about 14 months ago) I started evaluating all of the “answers” that I once thought I had, and decided that I didn’t like them. So, here I am.

More or less, the title of this blog sums up a lot of what I have been doing…Seeking Simplicity. Seeking the simple: the uncomplicated, the uncompounded, innocence even naivete; freedom from pretense or guile; directness of expression. I am learning that Less truly is More. As I throw off so much of what has weighted me down by way of religion and obligation, in this life, I find myself so much more free to actually enjoy life. And, as I enjoy life more, I learn more about what and who life is and where I find it.

Seeking Simplicity I hope will allow me a venue to communicate all that I have learned, and am still learning, from the past year or so. This particular page might become longer in the future as I expound on why I seek simplicity in faith, community, and life and how I have found it.  Stay tuned…
